Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB Responsibilities:
Maximize the Reliability & Availability of plant equipment
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all instrumentation and control systems, metering equipment and analyzers. (These include, but are not limited to DCS, ESD, SCADA, process control valves and auxiliary equipment, local PLCs, Local Control Panels, flow, temperature, level and pressure installations, analyzers, gas and liquid sample conditioning techniques and custody transfer meters.
Responsibility for the overall integrity and reliability of all instrumentation and control systems, metering equipment and analyzers for the facility. Ensure all Instrumentation equipment are functioning within the designed parameters.
Responsible for fault diagnostics and repairs of above equipment in a safe manner in line with company procedures and practices.
Carries out routine preventive maintenance of equipment according to schedules, check lists and specific equipment requirements. This includes cleaning of regulators, filters and general overhaul of equipment. Repairs and or replaces defective parts, reassembles overhauled equipment and carries out necessary tests and performance monitoring upon start-up.
Assists in planning annual shutdown and major equipment turnarounds and carries out complete overhaul of instrument equipment.
Reassembles and tests equipment in accordance with requirements or tests schedules.
Strict Adherence to Plant Safety Protocols & Good housekeeping.
Perform Continuous Improvement: Improve Reliability of Equipment/Process, Improve Safety, Improve Maintainability, Reduce Cost, Active participation in Major Development Projects.
Maintain / Update the job completion records.
Perform Technical investigation & Root Cause Analysis.
Interact closely with the other departments and ensure smooth operation.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
Create notifications, take work orders and prepare spare parts for scheduled maintenance works.
Manage and maintain the required level of spare parts and M&S
Skills Required
QUALIFICATION Diploma in Instrumentation & Control system engineering or equivalent Experience:
Minimum 5 years work experience in Instrumentation & Control system specialist in the oil and gas stations.
