Job Description

The Senior Geologist will perform all major geologic duties for assigned oil and gas fields. This includes providing structure and other maps of the fields that document the extent of hydrocarbons. The geologist represents geologic concerns at Asset Team meeting and works closely with team members to manage reservoirs. The geologist uses Petrel, other software to create maps and well plans for new wells. The Senior Geologist responsibilities include but not limited to: · Update existing maps and construct new maps as necessary to provide a geologic framework for oil and gas fields. · Identify new development well locations. · Prepare new well proposals that include targets for horizontal wells and supporting maps and cross sections. · Monitor drilling activity of wells in assigned fields, and work with drilling and operation team members to ensure goals of wells are met · Integrate with multidiscipline team to understand field performance and improve recovery. · Prepare ge

Skills Required

1. Bachelor Degree and/or Master Degree in Geology. 2. Minimum of 10 years of experience as geologist. 3. Extensive experience using subsurface data to recommend and plan new well locations. 4. Knowledge of core analysis applications. 5. Strong computer mapping skills, preferably with Petrel. 6. Understanding of formation logging and petrophysical analysis. 7. Experience with Petrel and building static models preferred. 8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
